Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not participate in any insurance plans nor Medicare. If you have out-of-network (OON) benefits through your insurance plan and want to submit claims for reimbursement, I will provide you with a SuperBill which has all the information required by insurance plans to process claims.

To determine if you have out of network mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, please call and verify your benefits.

  • Therapy is an investment.

My fee reflects the years of education and training that went into and continues to go into my skill set.

Let’s talk and discuss how to make this accessible for you

  • Yes! It’s called talk therapy but what I actually do is listen deeply. As we talk together, we will create a relationship which is safe and compassionate so you can begin to look inward and talk bravely and honestly about your thoughts and feelings. My role is to be curious with you and to listen closely so I can guide you to connect with those hidden parts of yourself. As you expand your awareness and understanding of yourself, you will see how to change.

  • Both.

I offer online therapy in IL, NY, & NJ; and in-person therapy in NJ.

My office is in Ridgewood, New Jersey. If this location is convenient to you, we can meet in-person. We can also meet online. You may opt for a blend of in-person and online sessions depending on your preference, location, and schedule.

In order to optimize online therapy, I strongly recommend you prepare for sessions by comfortably seating yourself in a place where you have privacy and minimal distractions. Make sure your device is adequately charged or charging, for our session

  • My clients describe me as down to earth, practical, easy to talk with. I am direct but gentle. Having been in clinical practice for over 20 years, I am extremely comfortable offering an individualized approach to your treatment. Some people need quiet and time to unfold; some people need guided questions to start talking. Therapy is serious work but it doesn't mean we can't laugh while doing it.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care services, a "Good Faith Estimate" of expected charges. In simple terms, patients are protected from surprises in their medical charges or bills. When you and I agree to establish treatment, I will clearly inform you what my rate/fee is. We will also agree on the frequency of sessions. The duration of treatment may or may not be clear when we begin. As a patient, you have control in determining the course and length of treatment. • Contact me to schedule a brief, complimentary call which will be approximately 15 minutes long. If it seems like we are a good fit and we can proceed, I will email you a link to complete intake forms. Once the forms are received, we will schedule a session. I strive to get you on my schedule within a week of your completing forms.
